TECS AWARDED OBAN ENERGIES TANK TERMINAL FEED CONTRACT

Recently TECS Netherlands B.V. has been awarded a contract to conduct all front end engineering and design work (FEED) for a new oil terminal project in the Bahamas launched by OBAN Energies. The project will provide storage tankage for crude oils, residual fuel oils, middle and light distillates, specialty vegetable oils and heavy oils, and will consider all other bulk liquid storage requests. It will launch with an initial capacity of 4 million barrels, with plans to expand capacity to 20 million barrels by year 4 of facility operation.

TECS has been awarded with this preliminary design order to allow configuring all tank terminal design aspects as have to be part of the EIA (Environmental Impact Assessment) and EMP (Environmental management Plan) project approval stages. In this process TECS will ensure the terminal will be designed, constructed and operated in compliance with the strictest international environmental and safety standards. The preliminary engineering contract awarded covers the entire terminal engineering scope, from VLCC-jetty and piping to inland support vessel harbour, storage tanks, terminal lay-out and all auxiliary facilities such as water- and waste water facilities, vapour treatment and power generation.
